Wenzel Anton Vogel was the earliest ancestor in our Vogel line to immigrate to the United States of America. Wenzel Vogel and his wife Christine traveled from Bremen, Norway on the S. S. Trave, arriving at Ellis Island in the Port of New York on 7 Oct 1897. The couple settled in Iowa to farm, and their present day descendants continue to do so.
