On 21 May 1808, Thamer Odom made a Will in Barnwell District, South Carolina.

On 21 May 1808, Tamer Odom, a widow, made a will naming her daughters Mary Collins, Catherine Collins, Lydia Odom, and Sarah O'Bannon. The will also names granddaughters Mary Collins, Sarah Duret, and Mary McDaniel. James Collins, son-in-law and husband of Mary Collins (Odom) was named Executor. Witnesses: George Odom, Seybert Odom, and Mary Smith.

Deed on 21 May 1808 by Tamer Odom, widow of Benjamin Odom, to my daughter, Lydia Odom for all my dower rights in the estate of my late husband, Benjamin Odom. Lydia is to care for me as long as I live. Ather death this will go to the children of my daughter Mary and JamesCollins. Witnesses: William Steed and James Collins.

Will of Thamer Odom (Powell)

21 May 1808

In the name of God Amen.

I Thamer Odom of the State and District aforesaid A widow bed sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory praised be to God for the same. I do make and declare this my last will and Testament in the manner and form following. First I give and bequeath unto James Collins my Son In Law one mare and colt known by the name of Pockett, also one negro man Named Taph, also all my stock of horses, except one yearling mare colt, and all my stock of Hogs marked with a crop and under the heel in each ear, also all my plantation tools, Secondly I give to my daughter Mary Collins, wife of James Collins, all my household and kitchen furniture, my saddle and bridle and half of my wearing apparel also all my poultry of every discription the same to be enjoyed by both of them their Heirs, Executors and administrators and assigns forever......

Thirdly I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ludda Odom all my stock of cattle marked with a crop and under the keel in each ear also one yearling mare colt with all their future increase. Also half of my wearing apparel and at her death to be equally divided between the children of Mary Collins; it is also my will and pleasure that the above named James Collins shall have all my corn, fodder, peas and potatoes, wheat and rice which is now a growing. It is also my desire that all the rest of my children namely Catherine Collins, Sarah Oborsion shall have two dollars to each of them out of my Estate also my grand children namely Mary McDaniel, Sarah Dorsett, Mary Collins, should I have the like sum out of my Estate. All the rest Residue of my personal Estate of whatsoever kind ther may be I do will to pay my just debts and funeral Charges. I do Constitute and appoint James Collins Executor of this my Last Will and testament in witness wherof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-first day of May one thousand eight hundred & eight.
