DR. TREZEVANT'S RITES ARRANGED.

Funeral For Prominent Ouachita Parish Physician To Be Saturday.

The funeral of Dr. George M. Trezevant, 68, retired Sterlington physician who died Thursday night in a Monroe hospital, after an illness of 11 days, will be held Saturday at 10 o'clock in the Mulhearn Funeral Home. Rev. E. F. Hayward, rector of Grace Episcopal church, will officiate. Interment will be in the old City cemetery with Masonic rites.

Active pallbearers will be Tom D. Wafer, I. P. Robertson, Grayson Guthrie, J. W. Perry, Tom Pete Godwin, Brady Dean, M. M. Funderburk and J. W. Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Sterlington Masonic lodge No. 420 and all friends of the family.

Dr. Trezevant, after graduating from Louisville Medical College in 1901, was married November 5, 1902, to Miss Willie Potts, daughter of the late E. N. Potts who practiced at Sterlington at the time. From the time of his marriage until about eleven years ago when he retired because of failing health, Dr. Trezevant had practiced at Sterlington.

He was a member of Sterlington lodge No. 420, Free and Accepted Masons, and also of the Ouachita Parish Medical Society, the Fifth District Medical Society, and the Louisiana Medical Society although he had been an inactive member of the groups since his retirement.

Surviving are Dr. Trezevant's wife; a son, Julian S. Trezevant, Sterlington; a foster son, William Wright Trezevant, Sterlington; three sisters, Mrs. Rosa Trezevant Winfrey, St. Louis, Mo., Mrs. Celia Groves Buck, Rayville, and Mrs. Annie Groves Brown, Monroe; a grandchild, Julia Ann Trezevant, Sterlington; three foster grandchildren, Letha Faye Trezevant, Barbara Gaye Trezevant and Billie Kay Trezevant, Sterlington; and several nieces and nephews.
