KINSLEY — Oliver W. Howell, 69, died Thursday morning at the Central Kansas Medical Center, Great Bend. He was born Sept. 28, 1897, in Pawnee County, and had lived most of his life at Garfield until he moved to Kinsley in April. He married Ettie Countryman June 6, 1925, at Burdett. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Congregational Church.

Survivors include the widow; daughter, Mrs. Melburn Joyce, Garfield; brothers, Earl, St. Louis, Mo.; Virgil Ashland; Zola, Springfield, Colo.; Alvin, Garfield, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Beckwith Mortuary, Larned with the Rev. Boyd E. Bonebrake officiating. Graveside services will be at the Garfield Cemetery.
