Biography notes for George Wale
On 18 May 1655, Thomas Wilkenson assigned 500 acres on south side of Petomeck River at the mouth of Matchotique River including two small creeks lying within the mouth of Matchotix River to George Wale. The land was granted to Thomas Wilkenson on 18 Oct 1650. (Source: Lancaster County Virginia Patent Book 3, Page 305)

On 20 Dec 1658, Gervayes Dodson assigned to Mr. George Wale a survey of 500 acres which joins a seat of 600 acres "due to me by patent and by me sold to the said Mr. George Wale lying in Lancaster County on the south side of Corotoman Creek near Wiccocomoco Indian Town which survey of 500 acres is entered with rights in the office with Mr. Thomas Brereton." On 10 Oct 1662, ffrancys Morryson, Esq. granted Mr. George Wale, 1,400 acres bounded as followeth, vista. 600 acres on the South side of a creek issuing out of fleets bay called Corotoman Creek, being the next creek northerly to Haddaways Creek, bounding Southeast upon a tract of land formerly surveyed for Toby Horton, by some called Mr. Wetherbys land, Northeast upon the said creek from the said land to the head of the main branch thereof, Southwest upon the land of Jo Taylor, deceased, Northwest upon the main woods. And 300 acres other part thereof situate near the glad above Wiccocomoco Indian Town, joining to the south side of the land of Jo Cosens and Thomas Steede to another belonging to the said Wale by assignment from Geo Dodson bounding upon the land of Gervase Dodson, further bounding upon land formerly granted to Gervase Dodson, by patent dated 3rd March 1656 (1656/57) and 500 acres other, likewise formerly granted to said Dodson by patent dated 29 Nov 1658 and by said Dodson assigned to said Wale.

On 11 Jan 1665/65, George Wale sold to Thomas Hains part of the land he acquired on 10 Oct 1662. George Wale states that Lewys my wife consents to the sale.

On 9 May 1665, George Wale and Lewys Wale granted power of attorney to brother Edward Wale, "Know all men by these presents that we George Wale and Lewys Wale wife of said George Wale do by these presents authorize and ordain our loving brother Edward Wale our true and lawful attorney" to acknowledge above sale to Thomas Haines.
