Jehu Ragan: Born Jan. 14, 1793, in Wilkes, GA. Married Maria Harper on May 31, 1814. Died in 1871. Approximately 9 children.
Notes Made from the Minutes of County Line Baptist Church, 1807-1877, from the Georgia Archives: October 6, 1810: Jehu Ragan received into fellowship. 1817: Jehu Ragan was Clerk of the Church and wrote up the minutes in beautiful handwriting. December, 1810: Brother Jehu Ragan charged with having affray with his brother Mark. Jan. 1, 1820: Brother Jehu Ragan being guilty of intemperance of rioting with his brother Mark, of joining the Freemasons Lodge, and failed to give satisfaction, he is therefore requested to be excluded which was granted. (Sat. Jan 1, 1820).
